From oral-systemic health and nutrigenomics to regenerative skincare and proactive aging technology, these were the companies that stood out.
The 2026 Healthspan Summit in Los Angeles brought together founders, clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and emerging brands working across the rapidly expanding longevity economy.
The event, held October 2–3, covered longevity medicine, regenerative aesthetics, human performance, precision health, recovery, oral-systemic health, peptides, hormones, health data and other areas increasingly converging around one objective: helping people live longer, healthier and more functional lives.
I attended the Summit representing the Longevity Academy, meeting founders, interviewing leaders and looking specifically for companies doing something meaningfully different.
There was no shortage of interesting technology.
But five companies stood out to me.
These aren’t official Healthspan Summit awards. They are the Longevity Academy’s Best of Healthspan Summit 2026 — companies I believe are worth watching as the longevity economy continues to evolve.
BEST REGENERATIVE SKINCARE INNOVATION:
Klotho Skin
Founder & CEO: Gail Humble, MD
The intersection between longevity science and aesthetics — sometimes described as beautyspan — was one of the most interesting themes at the Summit.
Few companies embodied that intersection better than Klotho Skin.
Founder and CEO Dr. Gail Humble has spent decades in aesthetic medicine and regenerative research. Her work focuses on the Klotho gene, which has attracted scientific interest because of its role in biological aging.
Klotho Skin says its patented manufacturing process uses genetically engineered adult mesenchymal stem cells to upregulate the Klotho gene and produce Klotho protein and second-generation growth factors for its skincare formulations.
That is a radically different story from the typical cosmetic product built around another moisturizer, retinoid or trendy ingredient.
Dr. Humble was also a featured Healthspan Summit speaker, reflecting the growing overlap between longevity medicine and regenerative aesthetics.
The science here deserves continued independent investigation and validation, particularly when translating cellular and mechanistic findings into meaningful human outcomes. But the direction is fascinating.
Longevity Academy takeaway: The future of skincare may increasingly move beyond cosmetics toward cellular biology, regenerative medicine and measurable skin health. Klotho Skin is pushing directly into that frontier.
BEST PERSONALIZED NUTRITION INNOVATION:
SNiP Nutrigenomics
Founder & CEO: Kim Ressler
For years, the supplement industry has largely followed the same model: manufacture a product and sell essentially the same formula to everyone.
SNiP Nutrigenomics asks a much more interesting question:
What if your nutrition and supplementation strategy started with your genetics?
Founder and CEO Kim Ressler built SNiP around nutrigenomics — using genetic information to help identify differences in nutrient metabolism and guide personalized nutritional recommendations.
Rather than asking consumers to continually experiment with dozens of supplements, SNiP analyzes genetic information and uses it to develop personalized nutrition recommendations and its customized CODE Complex.
Ressler’s own health journey helped inspire the company after she encountered nutrigenomics while searching for answers to unresolved health issues. She founded SNiP in 2022 with the goal of making DNA-personalized nutrition simpler and more accessible.
She was also among the founders presenting at Healthspan Summit 2026.
Personalized nutrition still has significant scientific territory to cover. Genetics is one component of human health, not destiny, and lifestyle, environment, medications, microbiome, age and other variables matter enormously.
But the larger direction makes sense.
Longevity Academy takeaway: Longevity is moving from generalized recommendations toward precision health. SNiP represents an interesting attempt to bring nutrigenomics out of specialized clinics and into everyday wellness.
BEST SKIN LONGEVITY NUTRITION:
ATIKA Wellness
Founder: Lily Shapiro, PharmD, MBA
Another standout in the emerging skin-longevity category was ATIKA, founded by pharmacist Lily Shapiro, PharmD, MBA.
ATIKA approaches skin aging from the inside out.
Instead of positioning itself as another topical skincare company or basic collagen powder, ATIKA describes itself as a nutritional dermatology brand designed around four biological systems involved in skin health: collagen structure, antioxidant defense, lipid-barrier integrity and cellular energy.
Its Advanced Skin Nutrition formula combines 18 studied ingredients, including collagen peptides, phytoceramides, astaxanthin, carotenoids, polyphenols, vitamins and other compounds.
What particularly interested me was the philosophy behind the company.
Shapiro’s background combines pharmacy and business — she holds a PharmD from Northeastern University and an MBA from Wharton — and her formulation philosophy emphasizes published human evidence, clinically relevant dosing and transparent labeling rather than simply including fashionable ingredients at minimal doses.
That approach could become increasingly relevant as millions of consumers pursue significant weight loss, including through GLP-1 medications. Rapid weight loss has created new consumer interest in maintaining skin quality, hair health and lean tissue alongside improvements in metabolic health.
ATIKA is already explicitly addressing the GLP-1 market as one application of its skin and hair nutrition strategy.
Longevity Academy takeaway: “Skin longevity” is developing into a category of its own, and ATIKA is approaching it through nutritional science rather than simply traditional beauty marketing.
BEST PROACTIVE AGING TECHNOLOGY:
BUDDY by LiveFreely
Co-Founder & CEO: Dr. Arthur Jue
Perhaps the most important longevity technologies won’t necessarily help people live to 120.
They may help millions of people remain independent, safe and connected as they age.
That is what caught my attention about BUDDY, created by digital-health company LiveFreely.
Co-founder and CEO Dr. Arthur Jue and his team describe their mission as Proactive Aging™ — using technology to help people maintain independence while connecting families and caregivers.
The BUDDY platform uses smartwatch technology, machine learning and AI for capabilities including fall prediction, prevention and detection, medication reminders, GPS location and emergency notifications. The system can connect the person wearing the watch with family members, caregivers and emergency resources.
This addresses one of the least glamorous but most important realities of longevity.
Living longer only matters if we can maintain function and independence.
Falls, medication errors, isolation and delayed emergency intervention can dramatically change an older adult’s trajectory.
Technology that identifies problems earlier — ideally before they become catastrophic — could therefore have an enormous impact.
Longevity Academy takeaway: Longevity isn’t only about extending lifespan. It’s about extending independence span, and BUDDY is applying AI and wearable technology directly to that problem.
BEST ORAL HEALTH INNOVATION:
SuperMouth
Founder & CEO: Dr. Kami Hoss
One of the biggest shifts occurring in longevity is the recognition that the mouth shouldn’t be treated as an isolated part of the body.
Oral health is increasingly being discussed as part of whole-body health, and SuperMouth is building an entire consumer platform around better oral care.
Founded by dentist and orthodontist Dr. Kami Hoss, SuperMouth takes a personalized, life-stage approach rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all toothpaste and toothbrush model. Dr. Hoss was also a featured speaker at the 2026 Healthspan Summit.
The company says it has developed more than 200 products and holds nearly 300 patents, incorporating technologies and ingredients including nano-hydroxyapatite, prebiotics, vitamins and minerals.
What caught my attention wasn’t simply another oral-care product.
It was the larger concept: oral health as part of a longevity strategy.
The next generation of longevity medicine will increasingly connect systems that healthcare historically treated separately. The mouth, microbiome, metabolic health, cardiovascular health, brain health and inflammation aren’t independent silos.
SuperMouth is well positioned for that shift.
Longevity Academy takeaway: Oral health deserves a much bigger place in the longevity conversation, and SuperMouth is one of the companies attempting to build that bridge.
What These Five Companies Tell Us About the Future of Longevity
The most interesting thing about these companies isn’t that they all sell different products.
It’s that they represent five pieces of a much larger transformation:
Klotho Skin represents the convergence of regenerative science and aesthetics.
SNiP Nutrigenomics represents personalized health based increasingly on individual biology.
ATIKA represents the emerging field of skin longevity and evidence-driven nutritional dermatology.
BUDDY represents proactive aging, independence and AI-enabled health monitoring.
SuperMouth represents the movement toward oral-systemic health.
Taken together, they illustrate where the longevity economy appears to be heading.
We’re moving beyond the idea that longevity means taking a handful of supplements and hoping to live longer.
The industry is becoming increasingly personalized, measurable, preventive and integrated.
And that may ultimately be the most important takeaway from Healthspan Summit 2026.
The longevity revolution isn’t going to be driven by one miracle molecule, device, diagnostic or drug.
It will come from connecting many pieces — diagnostics, genetics, nutrition, exercise, oral health, metabolic health, regenerative medicine, skin health, technology, behavior and preventive care — into systems that help people remain healthier for more of their lives.
The companies that can translate complex science into solutions people can actually use will have an opportunity to define the next decade of the longevity economy.
These five companies are worth watching.
